The following is a (very) short guide to Danish signaling. The guide only contains the most common signal aspects and the text explaining the signal indications is simplified.
 

Signal Types

I      : Entry Signal (Danish: Indkørselssignal)
SI    : Entry Block Signal (Danish: Stationsbloksignal for Indkørsel)
PU  : Platform Exit Signal (Danish: Perronudkørselssignal)
SU  : Exit Block Signal (Danish: Stationsbloksignal for Udkørsel)
U    : Exit Signal (Danish: Udkørselssignal)
AM : Automatic Block Signal (Danish: Automatisk Mellembloksignal)
VI   : Wrong Main Entry Signal (Danish: Venstrespor-Indkørselssignal)
VU  : Wrong Main Exit Signal Danish: Venstrespor-Udkørselssignal)
DV  : Dwarf Signal (Danish: Dværgsignal)

Signal Aspect

Indication

Stop

  • Stop

Stop and Proceed 

  • Stop
  • Within Station Limits:
    • Proceed at max. 40 km/h, the route may not be clear 
  • Outside Station Limits:
    • Proceed at max. 60 km/h

Proceed

  • Proceed at Prescribed Speed
  • Next Main Signal may show "Stop"

Proceed 

(at Reduced Speed, 40 km/h - 25 mph) 
  • Proceed at max. 40 km/h
  • Next Main Signal may show "Stop" 

Proceed 

(at Reduced Speed, 60 km/h - 40 mph) 
  • Proceed at max. 60 km/h
  • Next Main Signal may show "Stop" 

Proceed 

(at line speed, 80km/h - 50 mph or higher) 
  • Proceed at Line Speed
  • Next Main Signal may show "Stop"

Proceed Through

  • Proceed at Prescribed Speed
  • Next Main Signal shows at least "Proceed"
  • Within Station Limits: 
    • Exit Signal shows at least "Proceed"
    • All other Main Signals show "Proceed Through" 

Proceed Through

(at line speed, 80km/h - 50 mph or higher) 
  • Proceed at Line Speed
  • Exit Signal shows at least "Proceed"
  • All other Main Signals show "Proceed Through"

Conditional Stop

(Copenhagen Suburban Railways only)
  • Proceed according to Cab Signal
  • Trains without Cab Signal: Stop

No Passing

  • Stop

Pass with Caution

  • The signal may be passed with caution. The route may be occupied 

Pass

  • The signal may be passed. The route is clear

Signal Canceled

  • The signal may be ignored
