ganske overbevisende...
We didn't stay long
in Cajon Pass as we were headed to meet BArry Draper, a model
railroader with a great signal interest that I'd met through email. The
week before Barry had held an NMRA clinic about train detection on
model railroads, and this is the demo. Train detection is via usual
current detection combined with infrared reflection. The idea is to
build a dependable train detection wuthout the need to modify the
rolling stock. The demo was quite convincing... Funny how long you can stand and watch the train roll back and forth while the signals change :-) |
