Jeg
kørte videre vestpå, og kom til Cassandra igen. Der kom et
enkelt tog ned ad bakken, men så var der en lang pause.
Nåja, lang og lang, men i forhold til at der havde været
konstant trafik hele dagen var en halv time uden et tog længe! Et sæt bloksignaler bag mig viste at to af sporene spor var indstillet til kørsel mod vest (ned), men så bemærkede jeg at signalet for midtersporet faldt ned til "stop". Altså blev køreretningen vendt, og det måtte jo betyde at dispatcheren havde gang i et eller andet. En halv time senere startede showet så, først med dette tog der kom ned i god fart, med en af de nye SD70M-2 i front. |
I continued west and
stopped at Cassandra again. A westbound came down the hill but then
there was a long break in traffic. Well, long break is debatable, but
traffic had been constant all day so a half hour without a train was a
long wait! A set of intermediate block signals behind me revealed that two tracks west set for westbounds (downhill), but then I noticed that the signal for the middle track dropped. Meaning that the direction of traffic was being flipped east, i.e. the dispatcher had something going on. Another half hour later the show started with this westbound coming down the hill at a good clip, with a new SD70M-2 leading. |
