gaderne i nærheden.

In Monessen is a
coke plant. Industrial environments make for good photography, but on
my last visit I came up empty handed when trying to find photogenic
spots in the nearby streets. But on the hill behind "Downtown" is a
little park with stairs and a few holes in the treeline, so that was a
good place to eat lunch.
Here's the characteristic steam from "quenching", the operation where
the glowing coke after baking is cooled with water.
