L&NW startede
dagen ved 11-tiden. Maskindepotet ligger så tæt ved KCS'
strækning, at L&NW er nødt til at krydse den blot for
at få et par lokomotiver ud. Så første skridt er at
tage sporkrydsningen i besiddelse og lukke "lågen" for KCS.
Hvilket selvfølgelig først sker efter at have iagttaget
at der ikke et et KCS-tog i nærheden. Der er efter sigende planer om at installere et sikringsanlæg her, således at KCS' tog (15-20 i døgnet) ikke sinkes så meget. For L&NW (som kun kører 1-2 tog i døgnet) har det jo næppe den store betydning... |
L&NW started the
day around 11. The engine facilities are located to close to the
Transcon that L&NW has to cross it just to get the engines out. So,
first step is to take control of the crossing and shut the gate for
KCS. Of course after first observing that no train is approaching on
the KCS. There are plans to replace the gate with an automatic interlocker. This will reduce delay to KCS' trains (15-20 per 24 hours), but of course won't mean much to the 1-2 daily moves on the L&NW. |
