Torsdag d. 2/6 er
sidste dag, og på vej op til lufthavnen i Düsseldorf
besøger vi Rheydt, lidt syd for Mönchengladbach.
Første tog er et malmtog på vej sydpå. Disse tog er
for europæiske forhold ganske tunge - 4000-6000 tons. Togene
køres med 6-akslede bundtømmende vogne med
automatkoblinger. Og så i Tyskland med 2 af de kraftige
151-ellok. I Holland køres med 3-4 mindre diesellok.

Thursday June 2nd is
the last day, and on our way to the airport in Düsseldorf we
stopped at Rheydt (just south of Mönchengladbach) for some
railfanning. First train was this ore train heading south. These trains
are in a European context quite heavy, some 4000-6000 metric tons.
They're run with 6-axle hoppers with automatic couplers. And in Germany
with 2 powerful 151-electrics. In the Netherlands with 3-4 smaller
diesels.
